Building Music in Residence

I'm working on building a nonprofit organization that supports the people our world needs the most right now. Current focuses: building our board of directors, fundraising, and programming, which consists mostly right now of soirees and artist support.

I wrote this essay which touches the heart of the mission.

Booking Conference Openers

I'm putting together promo materials to market myself as an opener for conferences, events, and just about any gathering of humans. The idea is to help people calm their nervous system when they step into a new environment so that they can be more receptive to the content of the event.

Album 7

I'm (very slowly) warming myself up to start recording my next album. Already written, just needs to be recorded. This is the longest I've ever waited between albums, and I'm itching to get moving on it. Right now I'm practicing the songs and beginning to record demos.

Gardening

My wife started a new gardening business, and I'm donating a couple of hours most days — pulling weeds, digging holes, getting dirty — to help her get it started. I'm finding it exhausting but rewarding to get my hands in the dirt. It's also very nice spending some extra time with my wife. ❤️
